Many actors who transitioned from television to movies resent being labeled 'TV actors' since it frequently breeds bias among those in the movie business. Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, however, isn't afraid to embrace her television background.

Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia will play the lead alongside singer-actor Guru Randhawa in the Punjabi movie Shaunki Sardar, marking her move from television to the big screen. Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia said, "I am someone who has never shied away from the fact that jo maine kaha tha woh yeh tha ki log hume label kardeta hai you know. I will never shy away from admitting and I take a lot of pride kyunki television ne hi mujhe banaya."
