Nishaanchi Poster Out: Amazon MGM Studios India has revealed the striking first look poster for Nishaanchi, an intense crime drama directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. The film marks the acting debut of Aaishvary Thackeray, who plays a powerful double role in this action-packed story. With gripping storytelling, strong performances, and Kashyap’s signature style, Nishaanchi is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about releases of the year.

Nishaanchi poster was shared with the caption, “Poster chapwa diye hai, ab lagne waale hai,” has already built excitement among fans. Produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh under the Jar Pictures banner, in association with Flip Films, the movie is set to release in cinemas across India on 19th September. The movie also stars Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra, who all play key roles in the story.

Meanwhile, describing the film, Anurag Kashyap called Nishaanchi “a story full of raw human emotions, love, lust, power, crime and punishment, betrayal, redemption, and the consequences of it all.” The film explores the darker sides of human nature while also capturing emotional struggles and moral choices. With its layered characters and gripping narrative, it promises to be a hard-hitting cinematic experience.

The script for Nishaanchi was originally written in 2016. Kashyap shared that it took time to find the right studio that would allow him to tell the story the way he envisioned. “Working with Amazon MGM Studios has been an immensely rewarding and beautiful experience,” he said, adding that it reminded him of his early days of filmmaking.

Nikhil Madhok, Head of Originals at Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video India, praised Kashyap’s style of filmmaking, calling him a “maestro of raw, unfiltered, and emotionally charged storytelling.” He said collaborating with Kashyap had been nothing short of incredible and that Nishaanchi reflects the kind of bold and meaningful cinema the studio aims to support.

Anurag Kashyap’s Work Front

Anurag Kashyap is known for his gritty, unconventional storytelling in movies like Gangs of Wasseypur, Black Friday, and Ugly. He recently directed Kennedy, a noir thriller that premiered at Cannes 2023 and earned global acclaim. Kashyap continues to mentor new talent and collaborate on indie projects through his banner Good Bad Films. With Nishaanchi hitting theatres, he returns to the genre that made him a cult favourite.
