Bollywood actress Dia Mirza has reacted strongly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent address to the nation on the NEET paper leak issue. Sharing her views on social media, she said the speech did not acknowledge the pain of students and their families. Dia Mirza Expresses Disappointment To PM Modi's NEET Message
Soon after the Prime Minister's late-night video message on Thursday, Dia Mirza posted a note on Instagram expressing her disappointment. She felt that the speech failed to address the emotional struggles faced by students, parents and those who had been protesting for justice.
She wrote, "Not one word of empathy for the parents who have lost their children, for the children who have died, for the incredible resilience of students demanding their rights, for Sonamji and the students who were on a hunger strike for weeks. How hard can it be Sir?"
The actor also questioned why it took so long for the Prime Minister to respond. She added, "It took 47 days for you to say something. And now that you have, you have said nothing. Nothing that can heal the millions of hearts that are broken."

Dia's post received mixed reactions on social media. Many users appreciated her for speaking up in support of students, while others questioned her criticism of the Prime Minister.

Another wrote, “Not one word by you for anti-national elements in the protest, who attacked on policemen for maintaining law and order. Not one word for hard-working reporters who were abused while doing their job.” Similarly many other criticised her stance.
What PM Modi Said On NEET Message?
In his nearly three-minute video message released late Thursday night, Prime Minister Modi said the NEET paper leak had caused "immense pain" to lakhs of students and parents. He announced that the Union Cabinet would discuss a draft law introducing fast-track courts and stricter punishment for those involved in paper leak cases.

The Prime Minister also said the government wanted to ensure that students did not lose an academic year and would try to pass the proposed law during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament.
