Pawan Kalyan is one of the biggest personalities in South India, who is the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh and a very popular superstar. The star is widely known for not promoting his films both in the press and on social media. Recently, he revealed that he feels ‘shy’ to talk about his own movies and which is completely not out of arrogance. Kalyan, who is gearing up for the release of Telugu movie Hari Hara Veera Mallu, for the first time, has been promoting his film for the film producer AM Rathnam.

At a press event of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Pawan Kalyan reveals why he does not promote films. The actor said, “It feels a little odd to talk without a podium. I can’t remember the last time I promoted a film with the press. I feel shy about beating my own drum and talking about my films. It’s not out of arrogance, I just don’t know what to say. But I decided to speak about this film today for (producer) AM Rathnam garu.”

He said, “When they asked me to dance on a bus in Suswaghatam, I thought I would die. I told my sister-in-law (brother Chiranjeevi’s wife Surekha) I can’t act anymore. When I began my career, I was called unsellable. Magazines wouldn’t even publish my photos. So, I got used to not taking part in publicity for my films.”

“If a film is good, you don’t need to talk about it. If it’s bad, you don’t need to do it anyway,” he added.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu also features Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, Nora Fatehi, Sonakshi Sinha, Bobby Deol and Pujita Ponnada in prominent roles. It has been directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and produced by A. M. Rathnam, A. Dayakar Rao, Vipin Agnihotri. The movie is slated to release in theatres on July 24.
