Palash Muchhal-Smriti Mandhana Engagement: Music composer Palash Muchhal has shared a heart-warming proposal video featuring Indian women’s cricket vice-captain Smriti Mandhana. The emotional moment took place at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, the same venue where Team India lifted the Women’s World Cup 2025 trophy. Although the proposal happened six days earlier, Palash posted the video on Instagram on 21st November with the caption "She said yes," confirming their engagement. The couple is all set to tie the knot on 23rd November 2025. In the video, Palash is seen leading Smriti to the pitch before kneeling with roses and a ring, creating a dreamy proposal that has gone viral.
Smriti Mandhana later confirmed the engagement through a playful Instagram Reel featuring her teammates Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil, Radha Yadav and Arundhati Reddy. They performed a choreographed routine to Samjho Ho Hi Gaya from Lage Raho Munna Bhai. At the end of the video, Smriti shows off her engagement ring. Jemimah can be heard teasing her, saying, "Bhai, bahot khush lag raha hai. Baat kya hai?" The group also recreated Sanjay Dutt’s dialogue, with Smriti declaring in his voice, "Card chhapwa le. Suit silwa le." Their sweet celebration instantly went viral. This announcement comes after Palash previously shared a picture of Smriti holding the World Cup trophy with a visible tattoo reading "SM18" a tribute to her initials and jersey number.

Who Is Palash Muchhal?
Palash Muchhal is a well-known young music composer and director in Bollywood, and the brother of singer Palak Muchhal. He made his debut as a composer in 2014 with Dishkiyaoon, later working on films such as Bhootnath Returns. Some of his popular tracks include Party Toh Banti Hai, Tu Hi Hai Aashiqui, and Ladki Tu Kamal Ki. He has also appeared in the film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey. Reports estimate his net worth between ₹24 crore and ₹41 crore, though he prefers a simple lifestyle. Palash and Smriti reportedly began dating in 2019 and made their relationship public in 2024. Their bond strengthened further during India’s 2025 World Cup win, which Palash proudly celebrated online with the caption, "Sabse aage hai hum Hindustani."

While the couple’s proposal video did not mention a wedding date, Prime Minister Narendra Modi confirmed the details in his congratulatory message, announcing that Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal will marry on 23rd November 2025. He praised their partnership, saying Smriti’s cover drive and Palash’s musical symphony would blend beautifully. The engagement comes shortly after India’s historic ODI World Cup triumph, where Smriti topped the tournament’s batting charts with 434 runs in nine innings.
