Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG is slated to released in theatres on September 25. Just ahead of the release, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan contracted viral fever. He was attending the press release event of OG was washout. Despite thousands of fans, cast and crew came for the event, it suffered due to a torrential downpour and had to be cut short. After that day, Kalyan has been suffering from viral fever.

Pawan Kalyan’s PRO shared a statement which reads, “State Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawan Kalyan has contracted viral fever. Shri Pawan Kalyan has been suffering from fever for the last two days. He attended the assembly meetings on Monday and held reviews with officials despite the fever. The fever has increased since Monday night.”

“In this order, doctors are conducting tests and providing treatment. They have advised that rest is necessary. Teleconferences were held with officials on departmental matters while suffering from fever,” the statement added.

The movie revolves around mob Ojas Gambheera, who has a single goal to reclaim his empire and exact vengeance on the current tyrant, Omi Bhau. As loyalties fracture and alliances shift, OG reignites a brutal criminal war, confronting both external threats and haunting buried betrayals, as per the official premise.

They Call Him OG features Pawan Kalyan as Ojas Gambheera aka OG, Emraan Hashmi as Omi Bhau, Priyanka Mohan as Kanmani, Arjun Das as Arjun, Sriya Reddy as Geetha, Prakash Raj as Satyanarayana and Harish Uthaman as Dheenanath. The Telugu movie has been written and directed by Sujeeth. They Call Him OG has been backed by D. V. V. Danayya and Kalyan Dasari.

What Is The Budget Of They Call Him OG?

As per reports, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 250 crore.

They Call Him OG Advance Booking And Pre-Sales

As per a report by Gulte, the movie with advance bookings for opening day and premieres crossing Rs 75 crore. The overseas pre-sales have mounted USD 3.3 million and with USD 2.3 million from North America alone. In India, premiere shows in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have brought in around Rs 40 crores.
