Pawan Singh apologised to Anjali Raghav for touching her waist on stage without getting her permission after she declared she was leaving the Bhojpuri film industry. Pawan touched Anjali's waist several times while she was at an event in Lucknow, claiming that something was stuck to it. Pawan disregarded Anjali, who was clearly uncomfortable. Pawan now claimed on his Instagram Stories that he had no 'wrong intention' toward Anjali.

Pawan Singh penned his apology note in Hindi - "Anjali ji, vyasth schedule ke kaaran main aapka live dekh nahi paaya. Mujhe jab iss baat ki jaankari huyi, toh mujhe bura laga. Mera aapke prati koi bhi ghalat intention nahi tha kyuki humlog kalakaar hai. Iske bawajood, agar aapko humari kisi bhi byawahaar se taqleef huyi ho toh uske liye main shama prarthi hoon."

For the unversed, a video of Pawan Singh touching Anjali Raghav's waist during a performance went viral online, sparking a strong backlash. She said she felt uneasy but kept quiet at the time because the majority of the audience in Lucknow was Singh's fan base in an emotional video on Instagram. The incident happened during the promotion of Singh's recently released song Saiya Seva Kare, which also features Anjali.

Anjali Raghav posted videos to Instagram on Saturday that described the events that took place there. She said, "I have been very disturbed for the past two days...Do you think I would feel happy or enjoy being touched in public like that?" Anjali added, "Jab baad mein maine apne team member se pucha ki kuch laga hai, unhone kaha ki kuch bhi nahi laga tha. Tab mujhe bohot zyada bura laga, gussa aaya aur rona bhi aaya. Lekin mujhe samajh nahi aaya ki main kya karun? Kyunki vahan sab unka fan base tha, unko bhagwan bol rahe the aur khud ko bhakt bol bolke unke pairon main gir rahe the log (sic)."

Anjali Raghav claimed in her second video that it had grown to be a significant issue by the following day.  She attempted to call the organizers, but they did not answer or inquire about her well-being.  People told her not to post anything because Pawan Singh's PR team is 'very strong' and could turn the situation against her, according to Anjali. At first, she thought the problem would go away in a day or two, but it only got worse. The actor declared that she would no longer work in the Bhojpuri industry.

Despite the controversy and criticism directed at Pawan Singh, Saiya Seva Kare has been well received by fans, receiving 3.6 million views and 201K likes since its August 27 release. Singh and Anjali Raghav were shown as a married couple in the music video.
