Ram Charan's Peddi Box Office Prediction: Telugu sports drama Peddi, starring global superstar Ram Charan, has finally arrived in theatres. Directed by filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana, the movie stands as one of the most eagerly awaited Indian cinematic releases of recent times. Driven by the immense star power of its lead actor, the film has already secure massive ticket sales through advanced bookings and looks completely on track to achieve a historic opening day at the global box office.

Data reveals that Peddi sold over 82 lakh tickets across India the day before its official theatrical release. According to trade tracking website Sacnilk, the film grossed over Rs 20 crore in domestic ticket sales before the very first morning shows even began screening. When blocked seats are factored into the final calculations, that initial pre-booking figure rises to an impressive Rs 33 crore.

This massive early surge is almost entirely supported by the original Telugu version of the film, as the regional dubbed versions have struggled to attract similar attention. The Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam dubbed versions accounted for a minor Rs 75 lakh in total advance sales. Because of this lopsided regional interest, the film narrowly missed setting a brand-new personal record for Ram Charan. The advance ticket bookings for his previous cinematic outing, Game Changer, were slightly higher, closing near Rs 27 crore.

Despite missing out on a domestic pre-booking record, Peddi is still poised for an incredibly grand start at the box office. Prominent entertainment trade pundits indicate that after adding the financial collections from special paid previews, the film stands to earn Rs 60 crore net (which translates to over Rs 70 crore gross) in India on its opening day alone.

If these predictions hold true, this will mark the third-best opening day start for an Indian film in 2026. It will sit just behind Ranveer Singh’s massive hit Dhurandhar 2 (Rs 102 crore) and the Prabhas starrer The RajaSaab (Rs 62 crore). However, this projected figure is more than enough to comfortably beat several other massive blockbusters, including the original Dhurandhar (Rs 30 crore) and Shah Rukh Khan’s record-breaking action film Pathaan (Rs 57 crore).

In overseas markets, international distributors expect the film to rake in over $3 million. This healthy foreign interest will push its total day 1 global haul past the coveted Rs 100 crore mark. This achievement makes Peddi the second solo film of Ram Charan's career and his third project overall, including the Oscar-winning blockuster RRR to hit this milestone on its first day. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, the film also features strong performances from Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jagapathi Babu.
