The Raja Saab makers have released a statement addressing payment issues. According to the production company, People Media Factory (PMF), daily wage workers received payments totaling almost Rs 60 crore throughout the previous 12 months. They also criticised 'unrelated persons' for publicly talking about internal company payments. The horror-comedy led by Prabhas is currently in legal hot water after Delhi-based Ivy Entertainment filed a lawsuit against People Media Factory.
The Raja Saab's production company stated that while about Rs 60 crore had been distributed in the previous year, 'about Rs 1 crore remains payable.' The statement on X (previously Twitter) read, "People Media Factory has disbursed approximately Rs 60 crores over the past 12 months towards daily wage workers engaged in BTL/production activities. In addition, around Rs 1 crore remains payable in relation to schedules worked during July. This amount of Rs 60 crore does not include monthly contract associates who are on monthly remuneration across various crafts, which accounts for an additional Rs 30 crores. These contract associates’ payments are fully current. Furthermore, this figure excludes the remunerations of key technicians, artists, vendors, VFX teams, and location-related expenses."
PMF declared that it would transfer the outstanding payments straight to the bank accounts of its employees. "The delay has occurred due to the unavailability of workers over the past two weeks, due to the sudden strike, and as the next schedule did not commence. Taking into consideration the difficulties being faced by our persons who have worked for us, we have decided to make exception to the policy and make the payments this week," the statement read further.

The makers have also initiated a new payment process for 'greater transparency and to eliminate past malpractices.' The statement conluding note read, "All payments will henceforth be made directly to workers into their bank accounts. PMF will not release funds to intermediaries under any circumstance."
The Economic Times said last week that Ivy Entertainment has sued PMF in the Delhi High Court for allegedly breaking a contract during the film's development. "PMF failed to meet critical obligations including completing and releasing the film on time, providing monthly production updates, disclosing fund utilisation, delivering agreed materials relating to the film and delaying the theatrical release multiple times," said the report.
