Actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran is gearing up for his Hindi film Sarzameen, which is streaming on JioHotstar from July 25. During the film's promotion, Prithviraj's statement went viral, generating speculations about the third instalment of Mohanlal starrer L3. One particular remark that has created buzz is that L3 Azrael will have underwater action sequences. Following this, the actor’s official team has set the record straight by calling the reports 'untrue' on social media. They have urged everyone to cross-check facts before spreading them.

Prithviraj Sukumaran's Team On L3 Rumours

On Sunday, Prithviraj’s official team, POFFACTIO, took to the X handle and denied the viral reports, calling them 'entirely untrue' and false. Sharing screenshots of media reports, the statement read, "We express our disappointment in major channels for spreading false news claiming that Prithviraj Sukumaran made statements about the L3 movie. These reports are entirely untrue."

Mentioning that such claims appear to have originated from a fake social media profile as part of a 'hate campaign' against Prithviraj. The note stated, "We urge all media outlets to refer to the official interview videos from the Sarzameen promotions for accurate information. It appears this misinformation originated from a fake profile ID as part of a hate campaign. We request all channels to cross-check facts before reporting and to republish corrected news to clarify the truth to the public and Prithviraj’s well-wishers. We expect a professional approach in handling this matter. Thank you."

What Did Prithviraj Sukumaran Say About L3?

In a recent interview with Nayandeep Rakshit, when asked about Pranav Mohanlal being in the third instalment, the filmmaker responded by saying that he will be portraying the younger version of Stephen Nedumpally aka Abhraam Khureshi. Pranav also made a special appearance in L2. Revealing how he didn't want to go down the AI route or face replacement, but wanted things to be as organic as possible. Then, the Lucifer director also revealed that Mohanlal’s look in his debut film Manjil Virinja Pookkal, released in 1980, was the reference for Pranav’s character. However, Prithviraj does not make any remark about the underwater sequences in his much-anticipated L3, which was spread widely online.
