Priyamani has weighed in on Deepika Padukone's demand for an 8-hour working day on film sets, advocating for flexibility and teamwork instead. She believes everyone should adjust and make room for each other. Notably, Priyamani will be starring alongside Manoj Bajpayee in the upcoming Season 3 of The Family Man, a series created by Raj and DK. Priyamani emphasised the importance of flexibility on film sets. In a conversation with CNBC TV18, "It is completely subjective. There are times when you will have to adjust which is okay and you should make room for it."

Deepika Padukone's exit from Spirit and Kalki 2898 AD sequel sparked controversy, with rumours circulating that her demand for an 8-hour workday as a new mother was a major factor. However, Deepika clarified that she's pushing for a better work-life balance in Bollywood, pointing out that several male actors have been working 8-hour shifts for years without it making headlines. She emphasized the need for industry-wide reforms, calling Bollywood "disorganized" and advocating for more structured work practices.

She said in a chat with CNBC TV 18, "I don’t think what I’m asking for is ridiculously unfair, and I think only someone who’s worked in the system enough will know that the conditions that we work in, and I’m saying this as if I may say so myself a top star."

By virtue of being a woman, if that’s coming across as being pushy or whatever, then so be it. But it is no secret that a lot of superstars, male superstars in the Indian film industry, have been working for 8 hours for years, and it’s never made headlines."
