SSMB29, the upcoming big-budget movie directed by SS Rajamouli, is already creating a buzz for its scale, story, and star cast. Touted as one of the biggest Indian films in the making, the movie stars Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. Adding to the excitement, reports suggest that R Madhavan will also be joining the cast of SSMB29. With a planned global release in 2027, the movie promises to be a cinematic spectacle featuring a mix of mythology, action, and grand visuals.
According to reports, Madhavan’s role will be vital to the film’s storyline, adding another layer to the already powerful cast, although there is no official confirmation yet from the makers. Madhavan is working with SS Rajamouli, making the collaboration even more special for fans. The movie is said to draw inspiration from Wilbur Smith's novels and the mythological tales surrounding Lord Hanuman. With such a unique blend of literature and Indian mythology, the story is expected to take audiences on an unforgettable adventure.

About SSMB29 Movie
Filming for SSMB29 began in January 2025. Lead actors Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra have already completed several shooting schedules in Hyderabad and Odisha. To bring the story’s setting to life, the team is building grand sets in Hyderabad, recreating parts of Kashi — an important location in the movie. The cast also includes Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran in a crucial role. Music composer M.M. Keeravani, who has been a long-time collaborator with Rajamouli, will be scoring the soundtrack.
Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli is known for keeping plot details under wraps, and SSMB29 is no exception. However, it has been hinted that the film will be in the action-adventure genre, similar to Hollywood’s Indiana Jones. With a budget estimated at Rs 1,000 crore, SSMB29 is expected to raise the bar for Indian cinema on a global level. The combination of strong performances, mythological elements, thrilling action, and Rajamouli’s direction has set expectations sky-high.
