Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are all embrace parenthood. The couple, who got married in 2021, are expecting their first child. They announced this exciting news on social media, and fans can't keep calm. Even the dad-to-be is super excited for this new phase in his life. The actors have known each other for 15 years and it still feels like yesterday to them. . Rajkummar expressed his joy and admitted that they are still letting the news sink in.

On July 9, Rajkummar and Patralekhaa shared a joint post on social media to announce their pregancy. The post read, “Baby on the way, along with the caption, "Elated." Since the announcement, wishes have been pouring in from fans and industry friends.

In a conversation with Hindustan Times at a recent event in support of Tourism New Zealand, the actor shared how he and Patralekhaa are thrilled for this new phase and are getting advice from their friends.

He said, “We are absolutely thrilled, to be honest. We feel like a lot of our friends, who are parents, have been telling us that this is going to be the best phase of your life. So, we are looking forward to it. And, it’s still sinking in."

Rajkummar also revealed how they still can't believe that its happening. The actor added, “Every day is a new day. We have known each other for 15 years. We have grown up together. So, we are still sometimes like, ‘What, actually, this is happening? We’re going to be parents.’ That being said, it is a beautiful feeling."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajkumar Rao is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited movie Maalik, co-starring Manushi Chhillar in the lead role. The actor will be seen in a new avatar in the gangster drama, which promises to explore high-octane action, adventure and romantic chaos. The movie is scheduled for theatrical release on July 11, 2025. Rajkummar starrer will face a box office clash with Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor's Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.
