TV actor Ram Kapoor, popularly known for his roles in serials Kasam Se and Bade Acche Lagte Hain, is all over the news these days, and that too for several reasons. The actor has recently shocked everyone with his drastic weight loss transformation and has impressed the netizens with his new look. He has also bought an expensive vehicle, the Lamborghini Urus, worth Rs 5 crore. Ram Kapoor also garnered attention for making inappropriate comments during the promotions of his upcoming web series, Mistry. Amid all these, he has candidly revealed during a recent interview about his career struggles in the initial days and how he managed the financial crunch.

Ram Kapoor told Humans Of Bombay, "One year after my wedding, I had to live on Gautami's income because I had no work. That nobody remembers. Gautami was doing Lipstick at that time. I was doing nothing. When I started, I started at Rs 1,500 per day for Doordarshan. Yes, that was my starting. You have to be prepared for the starting again." He also shared that his wife, Gautami Kapoor, was at the top of her career when she married him and he had no work at that time.

Discussing further, he shared how an actor’s life can be unpredictable; you can earn a lot at one point or could be struggling financially at another point. Ram Kapoor continued to share stories of actors Ronit Roy and Sakshi Tanwar and explained how these stars have earned enough money to help their upcoming multiple generations. He said, “When you make it to the top like Ronit Roy, Sakshi, and me, and you are sensible with your investments…There were a lot of people who had hit shows, but they spent more money than they should, and when that show shut down and they didn’t get another show. They did not do well and disappeared.”

Meanwhile, Ram Kapoor can be seen in his latest project, a web series, titled Mistry. It is currently streaming on Jio Hotstar and is a Hindi remake of Monk. He plays Armaan Mistry, an ex-Mumbai Police officer with OCD, solving crimes.
