Ram Kapoor is one of the most popular TV celebrities, known for featuring in some of the hit television shows like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Kasamh Se and Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat. In a recent interview, the actor got candid about the television remuneration system and how, if managed thoughtfully, it can help a person accumulate an ample amount of money for future generations. He also stated examples of TV actors Ronit Roy and Sakshi Tanwar, who have earned respect and fame with their hard work and talent.

Ram Kapoor admitted to Humans of Bombay that several actors from the TV fraternity have been wise with their earnings and maintained a healthy bank balance. He also noted that there were some of the stars who were quick to spend their earnings. He said, “When you make it to the top like Ronit Roy, Sakshi, and me, and you are sensible with your investments…There were a lot of people who had hit shows, but they spent more money than they should, and when that show shut down and they didn’t get another show. They did not do well and disappeared.”

He also praised actor Ronit Roy and said, “People like Ronit… he has a lot of houses, vacation homes, and such a fantastic villa in Goa. He has been sensible because he started in films and he didn’t make it in films. Then Ektaa Kapoor took him on. In television, he never looked back. He had seen failure so when he got success, he respected it from day one.”

Ram also mentioned his Bade Achhe Lagte Hain co-star, Sakshi Tanwar and said, “Same for Sakshi. She is a very sensible girl. She doesn’t like fancy cars like I do. She has enough money for six generations because she spends it very wisely. If you spend money wisely, then you will have money for a lot of things in television.”

Discussing further, Ram Kapoor stated that he has earned enough money for his multiple future generations and that he would earn eight years’ worth of a regular person’s salary in just one month on TV. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Ram Kapoor will next be seen in the upcoming web series titled Mistry, on JioHotstar from June 27, 2025.
