During the trailer launch event on April 20, Riteish Deshmukh took some time out to appreciate the tough journey of shooting the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Amidst his compliments for the team, he singled out Genelia by giving her special mention for being his rock through thick and thin.
His remarks stirred an emotional response as Genelia could not stop her tears from flowing down. It was evident from their interaction that this film project is much more to them than merely a professional venture.

This biographical drama has an amazing ensemble cast comprising some of the strongest actors in the Indian film industry, including Vidya Balan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Mahesh Manjrekar. Besides these talented actors, the movie will also reportedly see cameo performances from Salman Khan. Although no information regarding his character in the movie has been revealed officially yet, Riteish let out a hint that the performance will be crucial for the story line.
