Samay Raina Talks About Ranveer And Latent Controversy In Still Alive

Samay Raina recently shared a YouTube video titled Still Alive, where he openly addressed the controversy related to his show India’s Got Latent. In the video, he spoke about the incident involving Ranveer Allahbadia and even roasted him strongly.
He also revealed that Ranveer allegedly repeated a controversial joke about parents multiple times, which landed them in trouble after the India Got Latent episode released in February 2025. Samay claimed that the situation negatively affected his mental health. He said in the show, “Beer Biceps ne meri mental health khrab kar di bhai.”

Ranveer Allahbadia’s Reaction
Soon after, Ranveer Allahbadia responded through a video where he appeared to take a dig at Samay. When asked about him, Ranveer sarcastically said, “Kaun Samay?” This reaction made it seem like their bond had completely broken, and fans assumed they would not work together again.

Samay Raina's Instagram Story Sparks Buzz
Recently, Samay hosted an interactive session on Instagram, asking followers to send questions. During this, a user asked him about Ranveer Allahbadia. In response, Samay simply said, “Collab soon!” This short reply surprised fans and quickly went viral. It hinted that despite past issues, the two might come together for a project in the future.

What Was India’s Got Latent Controversy?
The controversy began with Samay’s show India’s Got Latent in early February 2025, which faced backlash for its dark comedy and objectionable jokes. In one episode, Ranveer commented about parents that many found offensive. He asked a contestant, “Would you rather watch and enjoy your parents doing s*x or once you join them and end it forever?”
The question wasn't liked by audiences across India and led to heavy trolling on social media. Multiple FIRs were also filed against both creators. As a result, Samay had to delete all episodes of the show and later issued a public apology.
