Sardaar Ji 3 Box Office: Sardaar Ji 3 hit the big screens across the globe on June 27th. However, the release was banned in India since Hania Aamir was cast during a time of political unrest between India and Pakistan. The Punjabi movie starring Diljit Dosanjh is hitting milestones at the international box office. The horror comedy is currently Pakistan's second-highest grossing movie ever.
Sardaar Ji 3 has become the second-highest grossing movie in Pakistani box office history, as per KoiMoi report. Diljit Dosanjh's movie is trailing behind The Legend of Maula Jatt, which reportedly made PKR 511 crore in the domestic market.
Sardaar Ji 3 has made over PKR 50 crore in Pakistan. It is the first Indian movie ever to reach the milestone in Pakistan. Sardaar Ji 3 Controversy
Sardaar Ji 3 is reportedly doing very well in Pakistani theaters. People are reportedly enjoying the movie and it is a big hit in places like Lahore and Islamabad. In contrast, Diljit Dosanjh was criticised in India for signing Hania Aamir in defiance of a prohibition on Pakistani performers due to tensions between the two countries.
The makers of Sardaar Ji 3 denied the movie a release in India, which cost them a lot of money there. With a crowd-pulling celebrity like Dosanjh, experts like film producer and distributor Girish Johar think the movie would have likely doubled those earnings if it had been released in India.
Cinegold Plex, based in Pakistan, posted a video of packed halls, while Universal Cinemas emphasised the enthusiastic responses of the crowd. "12 shows on ultra screens. The largest in the country. The overwhelming response for 'Sardaar Ji 3'. Come and watch!" read the caption. The Punjabi singer-actor reshared the clip on his Instagram story.

Meanwhile, Sardaar Ji 3 is not the only Dosanjh movie that caused stir. The Punjabi-language biopic of human rights hero Jaswant Singh Khalra, titled Punjab '95, has been embroiled in a censorship dispute ever since filmmaker Honey Trehan originally submitted the film to the CBFC for certification in 2022. The movie follows Khalra's life, following his kidnapping and execution when he revealed that security forces in Punjab had extrajudicially killed over 25,000 people.
