India secured their spot in the ICC World Cup finals with a commanding victory over New Zealand by 70 runs at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Remarkable centuries by Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer, along with Shubman Gill's impressive 80 and Rohit Sharma's selfless 47, solidified India's dominance. Bollywood luminaries like Anushka Sharma, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput and Ranbir Kapoor were spotted enjoying the semifinal match. The team will now either face South Africa or Australia in the final on November 19. Social media is flooded with celebs congratulating the team for victory.

Numerous celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Suniel Shetty and SS Rajamouli among others, have extended their congratulations to Team India and wished them luck for the World Cup 2023 finals. Shah Rukh Khan posted a image of Team India heading towards the World Cup trophy and wrote, "Yay boys! What an incredible show of teamwork and sportsmanship. Now onto winning the finals. Best wishes to India!"

Amitabh Bachchan expressed a tinge of disappointment for missing the thrilling match, stating, "T 4831 - when I don't watch, we WIN!"

Anushka Sharma penned an appreciation note for her husband-cricketer Virat Kohli as he became the first player in the history of ODI cricket to score 50 centuries. "God is the best script writer. Utterly grateful to him for blessing me with your love, and to watch you grow from strength and achieve all that you have and will, being honest to yourself and to the sport always. You are truly gods child," the actress said.

Sunny Deol shared hailed Virat's incredible achievement, adding, "The king conquers! Wankhede witnesses history as King Kohli secures his 50th ODI century, setting a world record. Phenomenal feat by @Virat Kohli." Bobby Deol wrote, "And he does it again! #MakingHistory."

Virat became the first player in the history of ODI cricket to score 50 centuries. He achieved this milestone during India's World Cup semifinal against New Zealand at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Following the impressive performance by openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, Virat marked his 50th ODI century, reaching the feat in 106 balls, comprising 8 fours and 1 six. He continued his aggressive play, eventually scoring 117 off 113 balls, including nine fours and two sixes, before being dismissed. Virat scored his runs at a strike rate of over 103 before being out by Tim Southee.

Now, Virat has a total of 50 ODI centuries in 291 ODIs. He has overtaken his childhood idol Sachin Tendulkar, who scored 49 ODI centuries.
