Shah Rukh Khan Remembers Dharmendra: Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 at his home in Juhu. He had been recovering at home following a serious health scare earlier this month. Later, he was cremated in the presence of family members and several top celebrities from the film industry, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Salim Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan, who came to the crematorium to pay their final respects. Shah Rukh Khan even penned a heartfelt farewell for the late legendary actor on social media.
Shah Rukh Khan wrote on X (previously Twitter)," Rest in Peace Dharam ji. You were nothing short of a father figure to me thank u for showering me with blessings and love the way you did. An inconsolable and irreplaceable loss to not just his family, but to cinema and film lovers world over. You are immortal and your soul will live through your films and your beautiful family forever. Love you always (sic)."

Shah Rukh Khan and Dharmendra collaborated on Farah Khan's directorial Om Shanti Om, in which the seasoned actor appeared briefly in the song Deewangi Deewangi.

Dharmendra was hospitalised at Breach Candy Hospital following a health scare earlier this month. The actor's family quickly refuted online rumours of his passing, stating that he was recovering well and had been taken home for further rest and care. On Monday morning, he died at his Juhu home at the age of 89. Esha Deol and Hema Malini departed the crematorium looking heartbroken after paying their last respects.
Meanwhile, the seasoned actor will soon appear posthumously as Agastya Nanda's father in Sriram Raghavan's film Ikkis. The film, backed by Maddock Films, narrates the tale of 21-year-old Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was killed in battle during the 1971 Indo-Pak war's Battle of Basantar. At the time, he was the youngest person to receive India's highest military honour, the Param Vir Chakra. It will hit the big screens on December 25.
