Shaitaan Actress Janki Bodiwala Reveals She Was Asked To Pee For Real In Its Gujarati Version Film Vash: ‘No One Has…’

Actress Janki Bodiwala, who made her Bollywood debut with Ajay Devgn starrer Shaitaan, recently made astonishing revelations from the preps of Gujarati film Vash. The 2023 movie Vash was later remade in Hindi as Shaitaan. In a recent interaction, the actress shared that Vash director Krishnadev Yagnik asked her if she could urinate for real in the pee shot. Janki revealed that she was happy as an actor that she could do something which has never been done before onscreen. However, it didn’t happen for real in the movie. Know what she said. 

In a roundtable discussion with Filmfare, Janki Bodiwala opened up about the scene where her character was possessed and urinated in a situation to stop her father from making the situation worse. Talking about that particular scene, she said, “I did the Gujarati version, and I had the same scene to perform there. While we were doing workshops, the director, he’s a very good person. He asked me, can you just do it for real? The pee scene. It will make a big impact. And I was so happy about it. Like, whoa! Being an actor, I’m getting a chance to do it on screen. Something that no one has ever done.”

“But later, it didn’t happen because of art thing and it would have taken many retakes. It wouldn’t have been possible practically on set. So we found a way of doing that. I was happy I get to do things I can’t in real life. And that scene is like literally the favourite scene. And because of that scene, I said yes to that film,” she added. 

The 2023 Gujarati film Vash also features Hiten Kumar, Hitu Kanodia, Niilam Paanchal, Aaryan Sanghvi and Ronak Madgut in key roles. After its release, the movie was then remade in Bollywood as Shaitaan, headlined by Ajay Devgn, Jyothika and R. Madhavan. Shaitaan has been directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Ajay Devgn, Vikas Bahl, Jyoti Deshpande, Abhishek Pathak, Kumar Mangat, Kumar Mangat Pathak. The film earned over Rs 200 crore at the box office, making it a hit. It is currently streaming on Netflix.
