Janki Bodiwala is an emerging star who has already won several compliments for her mindblowing work in the thriller movie Shaitaan. Though this Bollywood movie made her popular among the wider audience, she had already been a well-known actress in the Gujarati cinema with movies like Chhello Divas and Vash. Her ability to blend with the core of such intense movies like Vash and Shaitaan made her stand out among the other actors of her age.
Janki Bodiwala’s Gujarati movie Vash is heading for a re-release in theatres of Gujarat on August 22, 2025. In the meantime, the actress is gearing up to feature in its sequel called Vash Vivash Level 2. The movie also stars Hiten Kumar, Hitu Kanodia, Monal Gajjar, Chetan Daiya and Prem Gadhavi. It delves deeper into the dark and supernatural saga of an ordinary family caught once again in the sinister web of an enigmatic figure with mysterious powers.

According to a report in Mid-Day, talking about her senior co-actors Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, the young actress recalled, “Honestly, just watching Ajay sir and Madhavan sir work was like being in a potent acting workshop every day. The control, the subtlety, and the consistency of two masters. I carried that same restraint into Level 2, especially in the high-tension scenes.”
Janki mentioned her role in the upcoming sequel of Vash and shared, “'Level 2' pushed me harder emotionally. The scenes were far more intense and layered. Physically too, it was more challenging, with moments that really tested my stamina and control. Krishnadev sir knows how to challenge me and he didn’t let me slip into autopilot with this character. He made sure I brought his towering vision to life on screen in the most realistic way possible.”
For the unversed, Shaitaan is the remake of the Gujarati movie Vash, where Janki played the role of a tormented daughter who gets hypnotised by a stranger. In both movies, the story revolves around a family that happens to deal with a stranger who is also a practitioner of black magic.
