Imtiaz Ali, known for delivering love stories with his unique style and cinematic vision, will bring a tale of love, longing, and human connection through a contemporary twist with a period setting. He has taken inspiration from the poet Momin Khan Momin’s couplet, “‘Tum mere paas hote ho goya, Jab koi doosra nahin hota," highlighting the themes of compassion and solitude in a relationship. "Can love really be lost? Can home be taken away from someone’s heart?” The narrative follows the lives of a boy and a girl, while also reflecting broader themes of identity and the nation.
