Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are one of the most adored couples in Bollywood, serving couple goals through their social media posts and public appearances. What started as a friendship eventually blossomed into a romance. However, the actress revealed that at the core of their relationship, they have always shared a deep bond as best friends. During her appearance on Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle show, Alia opened up about her relationship dynamic with Ranbir, saying it's filled with playful banter and mutual trolling.

Alia was joined by Varun Dhawan on Kajol and Twinkle Khanna's show. The actor got candid about her personal and professional life. Candidly speaking about her journey from friends to dating and eventually marriage, Alia shared, "Ranbir and I have a natural friendship. It was never a dewy, rose-tinted glasses sort of relationship. There was always a relationship like best friends. I married him because he is wonderful to me and also as a human being. But 100% the person I love trolling the most is him and the person he loves trolling the most is me. That is a very natural dynamic between two people."

Admitting that their relationship has evolved after the birth of their daughter Raha, Alia said, "It has changed after we have had a daughter. It’s totally different. We are a unit now. It’s way more a unit than before."

Alia and Ranbir's love story began on the set of Brahmastra: Part 1. They dated for several years before tying the knot in April 2022 in an intimate wedding at Ranbir's residence. The couple opted for a private wedding instead of the usual Bollywood extravaganza.

Speaking about their decision, Alia said, “We are home bodies, very socially awkward. We just wanted the closest people in our lives with us. I did not want to be attending to people on our wedding.”
