Actor Shefali Jariwala's untimely death at the age of 42 has sent shockwaves among her fans and the entire entertainment industry. She breathed her last on June 27. According to reports, she was under different kinds of medications including anti-ageing tablets. The consumption of these medicines may have caused her blood pressure to drop, possibly due to taking them on an empty stomach before she was rushed to hospital. On Monday, the police official shared more details in the investigation into Shefali's death.
Kaanta Laga fame was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai by her actor husband Parag Tyagi at 11:15 pm on Friday, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. Police were informed at 1 am on Saturday and her body was sent for post-mortem to Cooper Hospital.
A Police official informed as quoted by PTI report, that Shefali was fasting on Friday due to a puja at her home and consuming various medicines on an empty stomach, which may have caused her blood pressure to drop, leading to her falling to the ground.
The police investigation reports also revealed that she had taken an injection that afternoon, possibly for anti-ageing and also had her usual dose of pills in the night.

He added by saying, "Her blood pressure dropped drastically and she began shivering, following which family members rushed her to hospital."

According to officials, the Amboli police have so far recorded statements from 10 individuals including the Shefali's husband Parag, parents and house-help, who were all present at home during the incident. However, police investigations have not uncovered anything suspicious so far.
As part of the investigation, the police team along with forensic experts collected samples of several items including her medicines and the injection during their visit to the late actor's house.
Shefali Jariwala rose to fame with her hit song Kaanta Laga in the early 2000s, which helped her establish a place in the industry. After this, she appeared in brief roles in Bollywood movies like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. She also participated in reality shows including Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss 13. Her untimely death has shocked the entire nation. Her close friends can't believe this happened and have been sharing memories on their respective social media in her remembrance.
