The actress, who is all set to play key role in Rajinikanth starrer Coolie, announced a social media break ahead of the film's much-awaited release. She called it a digital detox. Her now-deleted post has left fans wondering.

Taking to Instagram story, Shruti shared that she is temporarily quitting social media. She posted, "Digital detox. Silence. See you in a bit lovelies." Later, she deleted the post.

The memecoins and cryptocurrency-related content popped up on her handle. On this, the actress did not issue an official statement, but many believed that her account was hacked.

Now, this break fron social media comes at a moment where she is gearing up for one of the highly anticipated movies of the year, Coolie, this decision has shocked many. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the action entertainer has already been creating waves for its storyline and stellar cast featuring Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan and Nagarjuna. Ahead of the release on August 14, the makers and star cast are dropping major spoilers, sparking even more excitement among movie buffs. The film backed by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures, Coolie will face off against Ayan Mukerji’s Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR-starrer War 2 at the box office releasing on same date August 14.

Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan has sung a track titled 'Vinveli Nayakan' in her father Kamal Haasan starrer Thug Life. The film was released in the theatres on June 5. This marked their reunion after 16 years. Mani Ratnam's directorial is streaming on Netflix.
