Sriram Raghavan is all set for the release of his movie Ikkis and is garnering great appreciation and applause from his friends and well-wishers within the industry after a special screening was hosted by him. Prominent figures like Amitabh Bachchan, Mukesh Chhabra, Riteish Deshmukh and many others came forward to laud Sriram for his precise direction. Recently, Sriram, who made thriller movies like Agent Vinod, revealed why he will not make a film like Dhurandhar. He also acknowledged the film’s success and hailed Aditya Dhar for his eye for perfection.

Recently, Agent Vinod director Sriram Raghavan was asked to compare his movie with Dhurandhar during an interview with The Hindu. He said, "It is a well-made film with terrific performances, but it is not our kind of film. We must understand that we are living in different times. Dhurandhar is one movie. It is doing spectacularly well, and it should. But this is not the only format. If I start following it, it will be the silliest thing to do."

Sriram further admired Aditya Dhar and added, "He has a different kind of sensibility and craft, and I love watching his films, but it is not something I would make."

Dhurandhar Box Office Report

The movie Dhurandhar has emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, as the movie was able to bag a gross collection of Rs 1100 crore and earned Rs 700 crore in India alone.
Ranveer Singh starrer is now the 7th-highest-grossing Indian film ever, and his first film as a lead actor to enter the 1000 crore club.

Sriram Raghavan directed Ikkis is going to hit the theatres on January 1, 2026. The fans cannot wait to experience the story of a 21-year-old Indian Army officer and tank commander, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal.
The movie follows the story of a young man who did not see anything other than his country. The movie is based on Arun's courage, ambition and high spirits. His bravery during the Battle of Basantar during the Indo-Pak war of 1971 earned him the Param Vir Chakra posthumously.
