Sunjay Kapur Assets Row: The late businessman’s mother, Rani Kapur, has also claimed his will after Karisma Kapoor’s Kids, alleging that nothing has been left for her amid the dispute over assets. There has been a dispute going on with Sunjay’s third wife, Priya Sachdev and Karisma Kapoor’s children. Amid the ongoing case over the distribution of assets, Rani told the court there is something ‘incredibly unholy’ with the will. Her counsel told the High Court, “Today, I have nothing. I have written at least 15 emails asking about the will, what are the documents? Not a word has been shared. I have been told that my emails have been compromised. There is something incredibly unholy. Rs 10,000 crore worth of assets should have been mine. I am 80-year-old. Mother, her vested interest goes into trust. All gone. I am nowhere. Ms Sachdeva (Priya) comes in, within three months of her getting married, everything goes? My son today leaves me with not a roof on my head.”

The High Court also registered the complaint filed by Samaira Kapur and the 15-year-old minor son, Kiaan. It mentioned that neither Sunjay, Priya or any other person ever talked about the will’s existence. The complaint also alleged that the conduct of Priya demonstrates ‘without a doubt, that the alleged will has been fabricated’ by her. After which, the court has issued a notice to Priya Sachdev and posted that matter to October 9.

On the other hand, Priya Sachdev told the court that Karisma Kapoor’s two children already received Rs 1,900 crore from the trust and asked, ‘what more do they want?’ Priya’s counsel contesting the children’s claims and stated, ‘Not as if people are left on streets’. The will was not registered and it wasn’t ‘invalid’ by the court.

Sunjay Kapur and Karisma Kapoor got married in 2003. The marriage could not last longer over allegations of domestic abuse by the actress. In 2016, Karisma filed a domestic violence case against Sunjay and his mother, Rani, who were accused of physical abuse. She also claimed Sunjay was involved with another woman. She filed a dowry harassment case, which led to a summons by the Mumbai Police.
