Sunny Deol spoke warmly about his Ikka co-star Akshaye Khanna at the trailer launch on Monday. Looking back at their journey from Border (1997) to Ikka (2026), he said Khanna deserves all the love coming his way. Calling him 'aloof', Sunny joked that the actor is now 'flying' after the success of spy thriller Dhurandhar.

Sunny Deol opened up about collaborating with Akshaye Khanna after the 1997 movie Border. "Akshaye and I first worked together on Border, and that was the first film we did together. We had a lot of fun then, and we had just as much fun on this film as well."

Calling him aloof, he shared, I have known him for so many years. He's even more aloof than I am, but he is a gem of a guy."

Sunny responded that Akshaye's current achievement after Dhurandhar was well-deserved. "It is high time. You never know what time has in store for you. You just have to keep working, never give up, and keep at it. Akshaye did exactly that. He is flying high now, and he deserves it and much more. I am so happy for him."

Sunny Deol shared, "We shared a great equation during Border. When we met again after so many years, it was such a lovely feeling. It took us back to the old days. He is a lovely guy."

About Ikka Movie

Ikka is a hard-hitting legal drama that focuses on moral quandaries rather than courtroom spectacle. It stars Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna in the lead roles. The movie throws two men, who have a connected past, in a situation that could put their beliefs to the test.

The narrative takes place during a trial that forces the attorney to manipulate the law itself, bending memory, ethics, and connections in a last-ditch effort to survive.

Akshaye Khanna portrays Shauryamann Gaur, a murder suspect, while Sunny Deol plays Arjun Mehta, a virtuous advocate. Tillotama Shome, Dia Mirza, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Shishir Sharma, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor are also members of the ensemble cast.

The makers claimed that Ikka centres on a renowned, uncorruptible attorney who is compelled to represent a murder suspect—the same man whose career he had once ruined. Because losing the case could cost him everything he valued, it turns into a war on both a personal and professional level.

Althea Kaushal and Mayank Tewari wrote the script, while Siddharth P. Malhotra is the director. Siddharth and Sapna Malhotra support the project, which is produced by Alchemy Films.
