Sunny Deol Surprises Fans With New Film Gabru On His Birthday; Shares Motion Poster And Release Date

Sunny Deol is all set to come up with another film, titled Gabru, following the success of Jaat. He surprised fans with the announcement on his birthday by unveiling a motion poster and release date. The film has been written and directed by Shashank Udapurkar and also stars Simran Bagga and Prit Kamani. Along with the first look, Sunny dropped a tagline that read, "Power isn't what you show - it's what you do," setting the tone of the upcoming project and giving the audience a hint of what they can expect.

Sunny Deol Announces New Film Gabru

The actor, who is celebrating his 68th birthday today, dropped a first glimpse of his upcoming movie Gabru. Sunny took to his Instagram handle and expressed gratitude for all the love and wishes on his special day. Announcing his new film, he wrote, "Power isnt what you show, its what you do! Thank you everyone for your love and blessings , here’s something for you all who have been waiting #Gabru IN CINEMAS 13th March 2026 A story of courage, conscience, and compassion. From my heart… to the world!"

Soon after the announcement, Sunny's fans and industry members flooded the comments section.

His Gabru co-star Prit Kamani wrote, "My dearest Gabru, happy birthday Sunny sir. Love you. Can’t wait for the world to watch this version of you."

Arya Babbar posted, "Thank you for this gift on your bday."

The movie also stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, along with female leads including Sonam Bajwa and Medha Rana. Border 2 is scheduled for its theatrical release on January 22, 2026, coinciding with Republic Day weekend.
