Their simple plots often featured clear morals, with characters overcoming challenges through perseverance and friendship.

With Teachers Day around the corner, revisiting the golden days of our lives with these animated shows is a must. Let’s dive back into the world of cartoons and explore the life lessons they taught us.

Courage The Cowardly Dog:

The majority of the people watched this show with a sense of fear and excitement. The main character, Courage, was a timid dog who gave the best over-the-top reactions in tense situations. Though he appeared to be nervous in every frame, when his family required him, he was always there as a heroic figure. This act of Courage, being brave enough to battle his fears, taught us how to overcome any obstacle for our loved ones.

Dexter's Laboratory:

This iconic cartoon was more than an animated programme; it was a defining show for a generation. Dexter’s fun banter with sibling Dee Dee provided entertainment and crucial life lessons at the same time. This cartoon is a solid example, which showcased that trying and failing and then trying again is the best way to learn anything. With concepts of resilience and curiosity, Dexter’s Laboratory became one of the best cartoon shows of that time. Dexter’s failed experiments constantly reminded us of the power of never giving up.

Teen Titans Go!:

With chaos and laughter riots, Teen Titans Go! brought superheroes into our living rooms. The show mainly centred on the chaotic lives of Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven and Beast Boy. This cartoon helped children understand that even superheroes have insecurities and even the best of the best can have difficulty in doing teamwork. At last, it also highlighted that friendships mattered more than victories. The Titans frequently messed things up, but they always found a way through. This is a clear reminder for all of us that mistakes don’t make you weak. They make you real.

Chhota Bheem:

Bheem’s adventures were loved and appreciated for making our evenings entertaining. His craze for laddoos and unbeatable strength were the attracting factors for many kids. Apart from giving a good time, the animated show also had some hidden lessons to give. Bheem’s desire to always protect his friends and stand with what’s right, instead of choosing the easy path, was beautifully scripted in every episode. Virtues like kindness, honesty and teamwork will always win over greedy and evil intentions was also another highlight of the show.

He also gave an important message of finding peace with one’s own company. Mr. Bean also highlighted the importance of friendship, as he never left his teddy bear’s side and always took it with him on his adventures.
