Teyana Taylor is an American singer and actor who is best known for her role in the movie A Thousand And One. On January 12, she won Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globe 2026 for her role in the movie One Battle After Another. Taylor broke down while giving her winning speech after receiving such great recognition. Her friends and fans did not shy away from hyping her up as she won hearts with her words of wisdom.
Teyana Taylor was beyond shocked after her name was announced and she started getting emotional as she walked towards the stage. She revealed how her kids would be sitting upstairs and jokingly yelled that they should be watching her. She said, "Y'all better be off your damn phones and watching me right now."
Teyana Taylor candidly claimed that she almost didn't write a speech. Referring to her 'brown sisters', she said, "To my brown sisters and little brown girls watching tonight, our softness is not a liability. Our depth is not too much. Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into. Our voices matter and our dreams deserve space."

Taylor also expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards her family, co-stars and every person who believed in her. She lastly extended her special thanks towards the director of the movie, Paul Thomas Anderson, for trusting her with the character she portrayed.
