The Girlfriend Movie Update: Anticipation for the Rashmika Mandanna starrer The Girlfriend has been growing ever since the teaser was released last year. Fans are eagerly awaiting an update about the movie, and in the midst of this, #ReleaseTheGirlfriend is trending on X. Rashmika took notice and appreciated their patience. She assured them that it will be worth the wait.

Rashmika Mandanna addressed her fans' demand for her upcoming movie The Girlfriend. She posted on X, which read, "Hi my lovelies I know we’ve been making you wait and your trend really is something else.. but trust me @23_rahulr is really working on it to give you the best output and it’s one of the most special kind of films.. its a film where we speak about things we generally don’t talk much about.. it’s a pure characters driven film and that’s the beauty of it.. we promise you we want to give you the best and it’ll be worth you while."

Giving an update on the film, she added, "But because of today.. for all the love you’ve shown us, we’ll just speed up the process and deliver it to you soonest!"
Even director Rahul Ravindran stepped in and reassured everyone that something exciting is coming up soon. His post read, "Guys… there will be updates soon. Praamise Please be a little patient."

About The Girlfriend: Teaser And Cast

Written and helmed by Rahul Ravindran, The Girlfriend stars Rashmika Mandanna, Dheekshith Shetty, Rao Ramesh, and Rohini in the pivotal roles. In Decemeber 2024, the makers unveiled the teaser of the movie, which left fans on their toes. The one-minute and thirty-four-second teaser opened with Rashmika's rumoured boyfriend and actor Vijay Deverakonda's voice over, who introduced her character in the film. Her introduction was followed by visuals of college life, with Rashmika's love life. The movie shows complexities in her relationship with her boyfriend, played by Dheekshith Shetty.
Mandanna's display of the wide range of emotions like crying, happy, sad, daydreaming and others sparked intrigue among the movie buffs. However, the makers have not announced the release date yet.

Rashmika Mandanna, who was last seen in Salman Khan starrer Sikandar, is gearing up for Kuberaa. The film also stars Dhanush and Akkineni Nagarjuna.
