A review from The Independent described it as, "Nolan’s biggest film to date. This film has about triple the number of huge set pieces than any of Nolan’s previous films, and every single one of them is breathtaking in their own way."

Fandango's Erik Davis highly praised the cast, writing, "The cast is stacked, and somehow everyone still gets a chance to shine. The Odyssey Full Cast
The Odyssey features an ensemble cast filmed across six different countries, including Greece, Morocco, and Iceland.
Matt Damon leads the film as King Odysseus, marking his third time working with Christopher Nolan. He is joined by Anne Hathaway as his wife, Penelope and Tom Holland as his son, Telemachus. Robert Pattinson joins as villainous suitor, Antinous.
The Hollywood movie also stars Zendaya as the goddess Athena, John Leguizamo as Eumaeus, Samantha Morton, Lupita Nyong'o and Charlize Theron.
