The Raja Saab Trailer: Finally, the makers of the romantic horror comedy The Raja Saab have unveiled the trailer of the Prabhas starrer. The film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles. Prabhas will be seen playing a dual role in the film. The trailer is already trending on social media for its cinematic visuals and blend of spooky horror and comedic chaos. The fans are especially hyped for the face-off between Prabhas and Sanjay Dutt, which unfolds in The Raja Saab.
The Raja Saab Trailer Unveiled
The trailer opens with a scene showing Prabhas sitting in a hypnotist’s office, being asked to close his eyes and focus, as he does Bappi Lahiri and Usha Uthup’s iconic song, Koi Yahan Nache Nache, plays in the background. Suddenly, he jolts awake from his slumber, screaming and disturbed by the visuals that flashed through his mind, including a haunted mansion. Viewers are then introduced to Prabhas' dual persona, lover boy and rugged action hero.
Soon after, Sanjay Dutt’s antagonist character is introduced by Boman Irani, who describes him as an ‘exorcist, psychiatrist and hypnotist’. Prabhas gets ready to face off against Sanjay Dutt, even making a Star Wars reference. He was heard saying, “Then let’s settle this in a fight between two stars. Star Wars!”

At the end of the trailer, Prabhas is shown in another avatar, an older version, who is believed to be his evil grandfather. Veteran actress Zareena Wahab plays the role of Prabhas’ grandmother.
The Raja Saab Release Date
The Raja Saab is directed by Maruthi and produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment. The story revolves around a young man facing financial struggles who returns to his ancestral property, only to uncover secrets that it's haunted. The movie explores the themes of reality vs the supernatural world.
The film has faced several delays since its announcement in 2024, but is now set to be released in theatres on 9 January 2026 during the Pongal season. The Maruthi directorial features a musical score by Thaman S, cinematography by Karthik Palani, editing by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao, and production design by Rajeevan.
