Triptii Dimri is currently basking in the success of Dhadak 2, which also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead role. Triptii's breakthrough role in Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal won her immense praise frm the audience and critics alike. However, she drew criticism after starring in movies like Bad Newwz and Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Now, her acting coach Saurabh Sachdeva has claimed that she chose wrong films after Animal.

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Saurabh Sachdeva opened up on where the actress went wrong. She said, "I think with Triptii, her choices didn’t work well. But she is wonderful. She looks good on camera, works hard, is vulnerable and sensitive, and is nice to work with. There are no tantrums, from what I saw in the few films I have done with her."

"All that never changed with her. What happened was that her choices were not right. That is also something an actor needs to learn. You have to make those choices, the ones that are difficult to make," he further added.

Saurabh Sachdeva further added, "Ache ache players bhi zero par out hote hain (The best of players get out on zero), but you know that they will come back. A great actor like Irrfan Khan may also not always deliver the performance we expect of him. But there is a performer behind that. Sometimes, the choice of the subject is not right, and sometimes films don’t work. What matters is that people recognise that the performer is good."

He went on to state, "I taught so many students. Not all of them are there; only some are. It was in their character to succeed. The stakes were so high for them that they had to succeed. I just helped them along the way."

Dhadak 2 is a romantic drama starring Siddhant Chaturvedi as Nilesh, a law student from a lower-caste background, and Triptii Dimri as Vidhi, an upper-caste classmate. The film explores their complex love story, set against the backdrop of societal prejudices and caste-based discrimination in India. Saurabh Sachdeva is part of the ensemble cast, which also includes Zakir Hussain, Deeksha Joshi and Vipin Sharma. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is a remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal.
