Varanasi, SS Rajamouli's upcoming movie, is still one of the most anticipated projects among film enthusiasts. The main actors in the film are Prithviraj Sukumaran, Priyanka Chopra, and Mahesh Babu. Audiences have been actively debating the potential plot and its mythical connection ever since the first peek was released.
Rama vs Kumbhakarna War In Varanasi
Varanasi writer and SS Rajamouli's father, Vijayendra Prasad, recently revealed new information during a conversation. He was questioned about a scene he had previously discussed during an open house organised by Filmy Focus. Fans had already started chatting about the sequence.
Varanasi will showcase the Ramayana's fight sequence between Rama and Kumbhakarna. "It's a war between Rama and Kumbhakarna…You saw in the trailer, right? You saw Rama and Kumbhakarna. You saw Lord Hanuman's tail and a chariot on it. I’m talking about that…spellbound," he shared.
The Varanasi writer Vijayendra Prasad quickly realised that he shouldn't divulge too many movie-related details. When questioned about whether the movie was based on time zones, and who came up with the concept. "We shouldn’t talk about it anymore."

Prithviraj Sukumaran On His Role
Prithviraj Sukumaran had already discussed his experience portraying Kumbha in Varanasi movie. He clarified that the part forced him into a new realm of acting. The actor claims that during performances, actors typically rely on body language in addition to facial expressions. He disclosed that this position drastically altered the procedure.
Speaking with Collider, Prithviraj Sukumaran said, "Always aware that your body is available as a communication tool. Then you put in a situation where nothing from the neck down is visible, and you realise that whatever you do physically will not be seen."
Prithviraj Sukumaran added, "Everything you have at your disposal is concentrated on your face. What you need to convey must come through your face and eyes." Speaking about the part, he added that he found the character much more fascinating because of its intricacy. "Definitely one of the most complex characters Rajamouli sir has conceived."
