Vivek Oberoi has delivered several powerful and compelling performances throughout his career in the film industry. He made his acting debut in 2002 with Ram Gopal Varma’s Company, and gained recognition with the romantic drama Saathiya. Recently, he was honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF) Award for Best Supporting Actor (Male) for his role in Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force. Overwhelmed by the honour, Vivek expressed his gratitude and dedicated his win to the real heroes of the country, the Indian police officers, saying they are the ones "putting their lives on the line to protect us."

Vivek Oberoi Dedicates DPIFF Award To Indian Police

On Monday, Vivek took to his X handle and shared a photo of himself posing with the award along with a note. His post read, "This Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival award is a spotlight for the real heroes, our Indian police officers who tirelessly stand guard day and night, putting their lives on the line to protect us and keep our communities safe. Thank you to the jury of @Dpiff_official and my entire India Police Force team for all the love and support. Thank you my brother @iamrohitshetty for giving me Vikram Bakshi. @TheShilpaShetty @SidMalhotra @PrimeVideoIN."

About Indian Police Force

The cop action thriller series Indian Police Force stars Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Vivek Oberoi, Shweta Tiwari, Nikitin Dheer, Rituraj Singh, Mukesh Rishi, and Lalit Parimoo. Vivek plays the role of Joint CP Vikram Bakshi IPS. Created by Rohit Shetty, the series was released in 2024 on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.

Vivek Oberoi's Upcoming Projects

Vivek Oberoi will next be seen in the role of Vibhishan in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol and others. Recently, during an interview, Vivek confirmed his involvement and announced that he plans to donate all his fee from the film. The shooting for Ramayana Part One reportedly wrapped up in June 2025.

Besides Ramayana, Oberoi is gearing up for his upcoming Masti 4. He will be reuniting with Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish Deshmukh.
