As the video has been circulating on social media platforms, the former NCB officer moved to the Delhi High Court over his alleged portrayal in The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The complaint mentioned Shah Rukh Khan and his production house Red Chillies Entertainment, claiming the ‘bad portrayal of an anti-drugs body’ and demanded Rs 2 crore in damages. In his statement, Sameer Wankhede said the show had been “deliberately conceptualised and executed with the intent to malign his reputation in a colourable and prejudicial manner.”
This is not the first legal challenge that Sameer Wankhede has mounted. He accused the former model Namrata Shroff of ‘posting false and malicious content (i.e., about high-profile cases he oversaw) on social media and, thereby, causing 'irreparable damage to his reputation’ on September 3.
What Is Aryan Khan’s Drug Case All About?
The new filmmaker and six others were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3, 2021. At that time, Aryan Khan’s personal life was highly intrigued by online users. He spent 22 days in Jail and it was quite difficult for him to survive as he comes from a wealthy and privileged background. He was then granted bail on October 31. Several reports claimed that Aryan was being forced to spend an additional night in jail after the court's bail order failed to reach Arthur Road prison in time for his release. His bail plea was rejected twice, first time by the Magistrate's Court and second time by the Special Narcotics Court. Later, the Bombay High Court gave him bail. The authorities eventually found no drugs on Aryan Khan’s person or in his possession.

Khan was later cleared of all charges. Rather, NCB itself- this time the team led by SK Singh stated that the ‘lack of evidence’ and found holes in Sameer Wankhede's investigation. Wankhede and his investigation team faced questions. There were also rumours that there was a conspiracy behind targeting SRK’s son. Not only that ,reports also claimed that he demanded crores in bribe to release Aryan.
An investigation was held into the former NCB officer, who denied all the allegations and called his prosecution ‘politically motivated’. He then showed text messages reportedly from Shah Rukh Khan to show how ‘fair and above board’ he had been in the case.
