Mohit Suri’s latest Bollywood movie titled Saiyaara has been making great box office numbers since Day one. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer movie has made its place in people’s hearts and is currently ruling the box office charts. Amid all the craze and increasing fan following towards the leading cast as well as the musical drama, there is one actor in the film who has managed to grab the spotlight. It's none other than actor Shaad Randhawa who has been a part of almost every movie of director Mohit Suri.
Shaad Randhawa’s presence in Saiyaara was spotted on Reddit, which created a buzz online about his connection with the senior director. Shaad has always played pivotal roles in Mohit Suri’s movies. Awarapan, Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, Malang, Ek Villain Returns, and Saiyaara are some of the notable films added to Shaad’s career.
Mohit Suri once described Shaad Randhawa as his “lucky mascot" and “emotional anchor" on set. “Shaad isn’t in my films because of any compulsion or strategy. He’s there because he brings a sense of comfort and positive energy that lifts everyone around him," he said in an old interview.
Who Is Shaad Randhawa?
Shaad Randhawa is a cousin of actor Vindu Dara Singh. He began his acting career with Mohit Suri’s Woh Lamhe. The actor played the supporting character of Kangana’s on-screen boyfriend. Shaad made his television debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Chandrakanta, in which he played the role of Swayam.

Mohit Suri, during an old interview with DNA, once revealed that he met Shaad Randhawa on the set of Tumsa Nahin Dekha, and that he is one of his trustworthy friends. Furthermore, he said that they also did a lot of team meetings and sessions at Shaad’s house during Aashiqui 2.
Shaad’s presence in every movie has been noteworthy. In Aashiqui 2, he played the role of Aditya Roy Kapur’s best friend, who was a confidante and a supportive figure. In Ek Villain, Shaad’s character was more complex as he played the role of ACP Aditya Rathore. And now, in Saiyaara, he plays the role of Prince, a musician who unknowingly brings the lead characters, Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday) and Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda), together.
