Seedhe Maut is a prominent hip-hop duo from Delhi, India, consisting of Siddhant Sharma (stage name Calm) and Abhijay Negi (stage name Encore ABJ). They are known for their intricate lyricism, clever wordplay and hard-hitting beats. They released their debut track, "Seedhe Maut Anthem," in 2017.

How Did Seedhe Maut Members Meet?

Seedhe Maut's story began when Siddhant Sharma (Calm) and Abhijay Negi (Encore ABJ) met at Spit Dope Inc., a Delhi underground battle rap league organized by MC Kode and Encore ABJ. Calm's impressive freestyle delivery caught Encore's attention, and they started competing in rap battles and cyphers together. This collaboration led to the formation of Seedhe Maut, with their debut song "Seedhe Maut Anthem" and mixtape "2 Ka Pahada", produced by Sez on the Beat. The duo's chemistry and unique style quickly gained recognition in the Indian hip-hop scene.

Seedhe Maut signed with the independent label Azadi Records in 2017 and released albums like "Bayaan" (2018) and "Nayaab" (2022) with them. In 2024, they founded their own independent label, DL91. They are known for mixing Hindi and English in their songs, sharp lyrics, and exploring themes of romance, politics, Indian society, the education system and youth culture.

They've collaborated with notable artists like Prabh Deep ("Class-Sikh Maut, Vol. II"), Ritviz ("Chalo Chalein"), KR$NA ("Khatta Flow," "Hola Amigo"), and MC STAN ("Nanchaku").
