King: The first look of Shah Rukh Khan’s new film King was unveiled on his 60th birthday, making the occasion twice as special for his fans. Supporters gathered in Mumbai to celebrate, and Shah Rukh greeted them with warmth and excitement. During the interaction, he shared a few hints about what audiences can expect from King, especially his on-screen chemistry with Deepika Padukone. Fans were thrilled to know that Deepika will be a key part of the story, continuing their much-loved partnership from past hit films. This birthday surprise created a huge buzz, with the reveal of the film’s first look trending across social media and entertainment circles worldwide.

Speaking about the concept behind King, Shah Rukh explained that the story revolves around the idea of major life decisions and how people often make them based on personal emotions. He said that the film will not take sides or present characters in a completely black-or-white manner. Instead, it will encourage viewers to think deeply about what is right and wrong. Shah Rukh added that as more promotional material is released, the audience will get a better understanding of the story and its message. Meanile, as part of his 60th birthday celebrations, a Shah Rukh Khan Film Festival was launched by PVR INOX on 15 October 2025, continuing from 2 November 2025 onwards. This special event brings his iconic films back to cinemas for fans to enjoy on the big screen once again. Shah Rukh expressed his gratitude for the tribute, saying that cinema has always been like home to him. He shared how emotional it feels to see his body of work returning to theatres and being celebrated by audiences who have supported him for more than three decades. He thanked both PVR INOX and his production house Red Chillies Entertainment for believing in stories that connect people.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Work Front

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in 2023. King is directed by Siddharth Anand and co-produced by Marflix Entertainment along with Red Chillies Entertainment. The cast also includes Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, and other well-known actors in important roles. King is currently aiming for a theatrical release on Gandhi Jayanti 2026.
