Zareen Khan's Mother Death News: The Indian film industry is mourning with actress Zareen Khan following the sad news that her mother, Parveen Khan, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. After a long and difficult battle with a prolonged illness, she breathed her last in Mumbai. The news was confirmed via an official statement released by the actress's representative team.

The statement read, “This is to inform that our beloved Ms Parveen Khan, mother of Zareen Khan and Sana Khan, has departed peacefully to her heavenly abode on the 8th of April (sic).” The family also shared that the funeral was scheduled to take place at 10 am on the same day in Versova, Mumbai.

Zareen Khan, known for her debut in the film Veer, shared an incredibly deep and public bond with her mother. Over the last few years, the actress frequently used her social media platforms to update fans on her mother's health, often asking for prayers during difficult times. In 2016, when Parveen Khan underwent major heart surgery, the Housefull 2 actress reportedly put her acting career on hold to ensure she could provide full-time care at home.

As the sole earner for her family, Zareen has often spoken about the immense responsibility she felt from a young age. Zareen Khan once told Pinkvilla, “There was that one evening that changed our lives completely. My dad had walked out on us and left us. We didn’t have any money because we didn’t come from a space of inherited wealth.” “There was this one night where we were all there together as a family, and suddenly my mother broke down completely. I tried calming her and explained that she doesn’t have to worry, I’ll take care of everything. Ab maine bol toh diya tha (I said it), but here I was, with over 100 kilos, not knowing what I want to do,” she added.

“Then, I started a job at a call centre. My sister was still studying, and I had just completed my 12th. I also wanted to get a job in airline. I lost over 52 kilos weight and I almost removed an entire person off my body. But I’m happy that today, my mother feels we have sailed through it,” the Ready actress further explained. As the family grieves this personal loss, fans and colleagues from across the industry have sent their heartfelt condolences to Zareen and Sana Khan.
