Kumkum Bhagya: Ektaa Kapoor has delivered several daily soaps with distinct family drama, among them is Kumkum Bhagya. It is one of the long-running and most successful shows on Zee TV, since its first premiere in 2014. The current show featuring Pranali Rathod, Namik Paul and Akshay Bindra in lead roles, is reportedly going off air soon due to a drop in TRP ratings. After ruling the small screen for over a decade, Kumkum Bhagya may end with the final episode in September.

Kumkum Bhagya To Go Off Air

This longest-running show began with Pragya (Sriti Jha) and Abhishek (Shabir Ahluwalia) as the main faces of the story. Later, Mugdha Chaphekar as Prachi and Krishna Kaul as Ranbir took over the lead roles, followed by Rachi Sharma as Poorvi and Abrar Qazi as Rajvansh, who continued the legacy and captivated the audiences. Now, the fourth generation storyline featuring the chemistry between Pranali Rathore and Namik Paul has also been appreciated by viewers. However, the show has struggled to secure a spot in the TRP ratings. After spanning four generations, reports suggestthat Ektaa Kapoor's Kumkum Bhagya may come to an end soon.

As per a source quoted by IWM Buzz informed, "Kumkum Bhagya, which presently has Pranali Rathod, Namik Paul and Akshay Bindra as the fourth-generation leads in the show, will soon go off air. The decision, apparently, has been made to end the long-running show. The show has been struggling with a drop in TRPs for some time now.”

As Zee channel has recently introduced a slate of new TV shows, including Tumm Se Tumm Tak, Vasudha and Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, which have been well received by viewers since their debut on television. As per media reports, Kumkum Bhagya will be replaced by a new family drama titled Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan, produced by Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta under their banner, Dreamiyata Entertainment.
