Newtopia Trailer: The much-anticipated trailer for Newtopia, starring BLACKPINK Jisoo and acclaimed actor Park Jeong-min, has finally dropped, sparking excitement among fans worldwide. Scheduled to premiere on February 7, 2025, on Coupang Play in South Korea and globally via Prime Video, the series promises a unique blend of romance, comedy and zombie action.
Set against the chaotic backdrop of a zombie outbreak in downtown Seoul, Newtopia follows the journey of Jae-yoon (Park Jeong-min), a soldier and Yeong-ju (Jisoo), affectionately nicknamed Gomsin. The two protagonists must navigate through hordes of zombies while rekindling their connection, creating a narrative that’s equal parts heartwarming and adrenaline-pumping.
At the recent production presentation held at the Conrad Seoul Hotel, Park Jeong-min shared his excitement about working alongside Jisoo. He revealed his admiration for the BLACKPINK member, even recounting how he acquired her signed albums through fellow actress Kim Go-eun. “I’m a huge fan of BLACKPINK and Jisoo,” he said, adding that acting alongside her felt like a dream come true. “In my life, I never imagined I’d be on the same stage as Jisoo, talking and acting together. It’s such an honour.”

Jisoo, known for her captivating performances in Snowdrop and her global influence as a BLACKPINK member, brings a fresh charm to her role as Yeong-ju.
