NJZ member Danielle recently shared a raw and emotional account of her trainee days, shedding light on the intense pressures she faced before debuting. During an Instagram live on March 16, she revealed the harsh realities behind the glamour of K-pop, offering a rare glimpse into the industry’s more demanding side.
Danielle recalled how she was subjected to strict monitoring while training under YG Entertainment and later HYBE's Source Music. She described having to seek permission for even the most basic needs — including eating meals or using the restroom. Every meal required her to send a photo to her manager for approval, and she had to document each time she needed a bathroom break. This constant surveillance made her feel trapped, with little control over her daily life.
