Triptii Dimri Removed From Aashiqui 3?
Triptii Dimri kickstarted her career with the 2018 romantic movie, Laila Majnu in the lead role. She was critically acclaimed for her roles in movies like Bulbul (2020) and Qala (2022). The actress, however, became an overnight sensation with Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal (2023). She was then seen in back-to-back movies in 2024, including Bad Newz, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Now, Triptii Dimri who was first thrilled to be a part of Aashiqui 3, has been removed from the project.
An industry source quoted, "The fundamental requirement to be the heroine of Aashiqui 3 is innocence reflecting through and as observed by the team behind the film, Triptii Dimri with her recent films has become too exposed to be cast in this romantic film which demands purity in demeanour from the female lead. Aashiqui is a legendary, soulful love story and the makers do not see Tripti fitting the parameters. After Animal, there has been no buzz around her. More so, her solo standing at the box office hasn’t proven profitable with her recent films."

Aashiqui 3 Controversy
Aashiqui 3 was postponed due to several controversies that have surrounded it since its 2020 announcement. At first, it was stated that Mahesh Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar would co-produce the movie. However, in 2024, disagreements between the two producers emerged regarding the Aashiqui title's rights.
After that, Bhushan Kumar decided to work alone as the movie's producer rather than with the Bhatts. The Bhatts filed a lawsuit, when Bhushan named the movie 'Tu Aashiqui Hai,' arguing that the title was too similar to their property and should not be utilised.
