Nearly a year after appointing BTS' Suga as brand ambassador for the 'Freestyle 2nd Gen' projector on October 5, 2023, Samsung has released new images featuring the Kpop star as part of its ongoing campaign. This move comes despite recent rumors suggesting Suga's removal as ambassador after his photos were allegedly removed from Samsung Electronics Germany and Samsung Deutschland's social media accounts in August 2024, following a DUI incident, as reported by Koreaboo. The new images have quashed these rumours, reaffirming Suga's partnership with Samsung.
No Exit For BTS' Suga From Samsung
Sharing photos of Suga from the upcoming project, Samsung Paraguay wrote in Korean, “This is how SUGA uses his projector The Freestyle 2nd Gen. Whether in your studio or on a camping trip, The Freestyle has the versatility to go with you anywhere.”
As the face of this cutting-edge, portable projector, Suga has been instrumental in highlighting its versatility and convenience, further solidifying the synergy between Samsung's technology and the BTS member's creative flair. The latest images are a testament to the enduring partnership between Suga and Samsung, offering fans a glimpse into the exciting possibilities offered by The Freestyle 2nd Gen.

Amidst the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding BTS rapper Suga's DUI case, numerous rumours have surfaced online suggesting that he may be replaced as the face of Samsung. The acclaimed rapper-songwriter, known for his work on the album AMYGDALA, was accused of operating an electric scooter while intoxicated on August 7, 2024.
Following a thorough investigation, the Yongsan Police Department disclosed that Suga's blood alcohol concentration (BAC) level was approximately 0.08%, sparking widespread media attention and public outcry. As a result, speculation has been circulating on social media platforms that Samsung might terminate its endorsement contract with the artist. However, it is essential to note that the brand has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident, leaving the future of their partnership uncertain.
