In a candid conversation on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, Fatehi revealed that she has often been subjected to disrespect and bullying by certain male superstars.
The actor expressed that interactions with some individuals in the industry have left her feeling uncomfortable due to their negative energy and intentions. She attributed this behaviour to being bullied and humiliated by male celebrities who prefer to see women close to them succeed instead of her.
Fatehi highlighted that such disrespectful behaviour is not uncommon and shared a recent incident where she experienced it again. "They'll say things behind your back, and you'll get to know what they said, and they have that entitlement of being bullies. Nobody will call them out," she explained. Despite facing such challenges, Fatehi expressed her resilience, stating that her straightforwardness and confidence often make her an intimidating presence.
The actress also discussed the resistance she faces for not conforming to submissive stereotypes expected by some male stars. "They'll say things behind your back, and you'll get to know what they said, and they have that entitlement of being bullies. Nobody will call them out," she reiterated. Fatehi emphasized that she does not give anyone the power to dictate her actions and is determined to carve her own path in the industry.
Addressing the negativity aimed at dimming her presence, Fatehi shared, "They start to bully you, demean you, talk bad things about you…" She also pointed out the astonishment of her friends regarding her ability to dodge exploitation in Bollywood. "Luckily, I've not had that situation, and I know why… I do think that it could have almost happened, but my personality is a little intimidating, so they kind of get like, 'Iske saath nahi, she could talk'. These people, whether they're stars or not, at the end of the day are predators," she concluded.
