Nine fans of actor NTR Jr have been arrested by the Robersonpet police on charges of their involvement in 'sacrificing' two goats and spilling their blood on flex banners of the actor at a film theatre to mark his birthday. The arrested were identified as P. Siva Naga Raju, K. Sai, G. Sai, D. Naga Bhushanam, V. Sai, P. Nageswara Rao, Y. Dharani, P. Siva, and B. Anil Kumar.
The case has been filed against the accused under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act (1960) for slaughtering the goats and putting its blood on the actor's movie poster in response to a complaint made by Tejovanth Anupoju, a member of the Andhra Pradesh State Animal Welfare Board.

According to a report in New Indian Express, the incident took place on Saturday morning at Tarak's birthday re-release of Simhadri at the G3 Siri Venkata and Siri Krishna Theatre in Srinivasa Nagar Colony, within the jurisdiction of Robertson police station. The public has been shocked and outraged by this tragedy since the conduct of these supporters are universally seen as harsh and inappropriate.
On the professional front, NTR Jr is gearing up for his 30th movie titled Devara, co-starring Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles. Apart from this, recently, on NTR's birthday, his next movie, tentatively titled NTT 31 was also announced.
If the reports are to be believed, the RRR star will also be making his Bollywood debut alongside Hrithik Roshan in War 2.
